Project operator: Chaleun Sekong Energy Group
Chaleun Sekong Energy Co., Ltd., established in 2009, is a leading provider of clean energy in Laos, boasting over 1,400 MW of renewable energy capacity. It’s subsidiary, CS Carbon Company Limited, will be responsible for the management of the Afforestation, Reforestation and revegetation (ARR) & Reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation in developing countries (REDD+) projects.
To ensure the highest integrity of the projects, CS Carbon will utilize the smart forest data management system as well as satellite images to update the current progress of the project in the most transparant way possible.

With official backing from the Government of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (PDR), its subsidiary, CS Carbon Company Limited, is implementing forest restoration and protection over 3.45 million hectares across 7 provinces in Laos.
To ensure the highest integrity of the projects, CS Carbon will utilize the smart forest data management system as well as satellite images to update the current progress of the project in the most transparent way possible.

Jun 2024 - MOA & MOU with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Lao PDR to expand REDD+ and establish a joint venture for carbon credit management
